I WANT TO REVEAL A SECRET THAT HELPED ME

To be excellent writer and fluent speaker in whatever language you devote interest does not need years of studies, degrees are not required. In fact, you can be a prolific writer and impeccable speaker without seeing the four walls of schools.

If you read novels constantly and consciously for a long time, you'll improve and get much better without noticing. My whole life have been devoted to reading. In my early years, I read lot of novels. I did not attend school much better than others but I noticed that each time I write or speak, people are impressed.

If you want to improve in your writing, please read books voraciously especially novels. But if you want to improve your speaking in whatever language of your choice, then you need to practice constantly.

10 Lessons from the book "A Monk's Guide to Happiness" by Gelong Thubten:

1. Happiness is not about acquiring external things or achieving certain milestones; it is a state of mind that can be cultivated through meditation.

2. Meditation is not about escaping from the world, but rather developing a deep awareness and acceptance of our own thoughts, emotions, and experiences.

3. We often think that the source of happiness lies outside of ourselves, but true happiness comes from within, through connecting with our own inner wisdom.

4. Mindfulness is the key to unlocking our innate happiness. By staying present and aware in each moment, we can let go of negative thoughts and anxieties that often plague our minds.

5. Compassion towards ourselves and others is the foundation of happiness. When we cultivate kindness and understanding, we create an environment for happiness to thrive.

6. We are not our thoughts or emotions; they are passing phenomena that do not define us. Through meditation, we can observe them without attachment and find freedom from their grip.

7. Happiness is not a destination to be reached, but a journey to be embraced. By being fully present in each moment, we can find joy in the simplest of things.

8. Meditation is not a quick fix, but a lifelong practice. By dedicating ourselves to regular meditation, we can gradually train our minds to find inner peace and contentment.

9. Letting go of expectations and attachments is essential for finding true happiness. When we release our grasp on external outcomes, we can find freedom and joy in the present moment.

10. In a world filled with distractions and constant stimulation, meditation is a powerful tool to reconnect with ourselves and find the peace and happiness that reside within.

10 Lessons From Indistractable by Nir Eyal

1. The cure for boredom is curiosity. There is no cure for curiosity.

2. Most people don’t want to acknowledge the uncomfortable truth that distraction is always an unhealthy escape from reality.

3. Dissatisfaction and discomfort dominate our brain’s default state, but we can use them to motivate us instead of defeat us.

4. We can cope with uncomfortable internal triggers by reflecting on, rather than reacting to, our discomfort. We can reimagine the task we’re trying to accomplish by looking for the fun in it and focusing on it more intensely.

5. Only by understanding our pain can we begin to control it and find better ways to deal with negative urges.

6. Ten-minute rule:

"If I find myself wanting to check my phone as a pacification device when I can’t think of anything better to do, I tell myself it’s fine to give in, but not right now. I have to wait just ten minutes."

7.At the heart of the therapy is learning to notice and accept one’s cravings and to handle them healthfully. Instead of suppressing urges, ACT prescribes a method for stepping back, noticing, observing, and finally letting the desire disappear naturally.

8. Empowering children with the autonomy to control their own time is a tremendous gift. Even if they fail from time to time, failure is part of the learning process.

9. The better we are at noticing the behavior, the better we’ll be at managing it over time.

10. Being indistractable means striving to do what you say you will do. Indistractable people are as honest with themselves as they are with others. If you care about your work, your family, and your physical and mental well-being, you must learn how to become indistractable.

"Things don't always turn out to be perfect, but if you've given your best, appreciate yourself".

Appreciating your efforts is just as important as acknowledging someone else's, but many of us rarely do. By aiming for perfection in everything we do, whether it's our work, relationships, or other responsibilities, we put too much of a burden on ourselves and when the result is less than we expected, we doubt our abilities.

Give your best, but never blame yourself or feel guilty if things don't go as expected. Instead, appreciate your efforts, willingness and intention to give your best to everyone and everything you do. After all, you know you did it with all your heart.
