5 Lessons From Beyond Order by Jordan Peterson

1) People remain mentally healthy not merely because of the integrity of their own minds, but because they are constantly being reminded how to think, act, and speak by those around them.

2) The true winner of any game is the person who plays fair. This is because playing fair is a higher-order accomplishment than mere victory.

Striving to play fair following the spirit of the rules is an indication of true personality development.

3) Success at a given endeavor often means trying, falling short, recalibrating (with the new knowledge generated painfully by the failure), and then trying again and falling short – often repeated, ad nauseam.

4) People are more commonly upset by what they did not even try to do than by the errors they actively committed while engaging with the world.

At least if you misstep while doing something, you can learn from doing it wrong. But to remain passive in the face of life, even if you excuse your inaction as a means of avoiding error – that is a major mistake.

5) If you decide to stand up and refuse a command, if you do something of which others disapprove but you firmly believe to be correct, you must be in a position to trust yourself.

This means that you must have attempted to live an honest, meaningful, and productive life.

REASONS WHY SOME SINGERS DON'T SEE IMPROVEMENT ON THERE VOICE
👇👇👇👇👇👇👇👇👇👇👇👇👇👇👇
The reason why allot of singers don't see improvement on there voice is because of the the following:

1. Lack Of Consistency
Allot of singers want good voice but are not consistent in rehearsals, they only practice when they feel like, but it does not work like that. You need to practice even when you don't feel like practicing and be consistent at it. Make sure you monitor your growth cause you can be consistent for 5 years doing same thing without much improvement on your voice.

2. Lack of Scoring Songs
Scoring of songs do allot to your voice than you can imagine, there is a difference between scoring songs and listening to a song. You can listen to a song while driving, cooking etc, but scoring songs needs total concentration and time making sure you do exactly what was done in the song. I always tell my students that if you can sing the song exactly it means you can do it more than the original writer of the song. So don't joke with scoring of songs cause it's part of voice training and will improve your voice drastically.

3. Lack of Sacrifice
Allot of singers have this bad mindset that everything should come to them free "Just dey play" if you can't sacrifice money to gain more knowledge about what will improve your singing then you are not ready to improve. As much as I give free teachings online my personal students on paid classes get first class materials and teachings on how to improve there voice and they are seeing quick results. What value do you place on your voice?

4. Lack Of Exposure
If your mind is not expose to excellence in music then you will continue to become a local singer. Expose your mind by scoring songs outside your locality God did not call you for local impact but for global impact, even if it takes you money pay it to gain more knowledge about your voice, don't be lazy there is nothing impossible in music keep working on yourself and you will attain excellence.

Worth Reading for Every Manager.
"Leadership Is Language" is a book written by L. David Marquet, which explores the hidden power of language in the context of leadership. The book offers several key learnings on how to reshape leadership communication and drive better outcomes for organizations.

1. Change the language to change the conversation: The first key learning stresses the importance of changing the language we use to communicate with colleagues. For example, instead of using the directive language "Do this" or "Do that," a leader should opt for an open-ended approach such as "What do you think might work?" This is more collaborative and empowers the employee to take ownership of the task at hand.

2. Control the environment, not the people: The second key learning is to control the environment, not the people. Leaders should concentrate on creating a work environment that is empowering, supportive, and enables employees to grow and develop. This approach encourages employees to take ownership of their tasks and be responsible for their outcomes. It also creates a more open and collaborative workplace. For example, if an employee is struggling with a task, rather than directing them to complete it faster, a better approach might be to ask, "What changes would make this task more manageable for you?"

3. Focus on experiments, not failure: The third key learning is to focus on experiments, not failures. Experimentation is about learning and growing as a team. Cultivating a learning environment where everyone shares ideas without fear of failure is essential in achieving organizational goals. For example, a team leader can implement small-scale experiments in a particular project to test new ideas, gather data and insights, and make informed and data-driven decisions.

4. Speak last: The fourth key learning emphasizes the importance of leaders speaking mostly in the end. When leaders speak first, it can create a power dynamic in the room and limit the contribution of others. By allowing team members to express their thoughts and ideas first, leaders promote healthy collaboration, build trust, and encourage more creative solutions. This approach also offers group members diverse perspectives and helps them learn from each other.

5. Avoid abstract nouns: The fifth key learning suggests avoiding abstract nouns in favor of concrete language. Specific and precise language helps in reducing misunderstandings and clarifying objectives. For example, instead of using an umbrella term like "quality," a leader can use a specific target such as "defect rate" to measure progress effectively.

6. Encourage team building exercises: The sixth key learning stresses the importance of team-building exercises that encourage collaboration and effective communication. Team-building exercises can help teams work more efficiently and is an excellent way to learn new skills from other team members.

7. Lead with curiosity: The final key learning suggests that leaders should lead with curiosity rather than certainty. By asking thoughtful and open-ended questions, and seeking answers from employees, leaders can get better insights and ideas. Reducing the power distance between employees and their leaders promotes a culture of engagement, and collaboration.

In conclusion, the key learnings from "Leadership Is Language" offer actionable insights on how leaders can improve communication, create a collaborative work environment, and drive better outcomes for their organizations. Incorporating these key learnings in the workplace can help leaders to build more productive, innovative, and engaged teams.

SEE HOW OVERTHINKING IS KILLING YOU...

Overthinking means to think too much about (something): to put too much time into thinking about or analyzing (something) in a way that is more harmful than helpful.

Overthinkers may have trouble distinguishing between the fear of making a mistake, which leads to overthinking to the point where they make no decision, and a deep feeling that something is wrong.

Knowing if fear or intuition is guiding your behavior will help you get out of your head and take the next necessary steps.

SIGNS THAT YOU OVERTHINK

▶️Difficulty following along with and contributing to a conversation because you go over potential responses or statements time and again until the conversation has either ended or the window of opportunity for speaking was lost

▶️Continually comparing yourself to the people around you and how you measure up to them

▶️Focusing on worst-case scenarios either involving yourself or the ones you love

▶️Reliving past failures or mistakes over and over again and you're unable to move past them

▶️Worrying about future tasks and/or goals until they feel almost impossible to accomplish

▶️Reliving a past traumatic experience (such as abuse or the loss of a loved one) leaving you unable to cope with it

▶️An inability to slow down the racing of vague thoughts, worries or emotions

HOW TO OVERCOME OVERTHINKING

➡️Don't think of what can go wrong, but what can go right.

➡️Distract yourself into happiness. Meditate of positive outcome.

➡️Stop waiting for perfection.

➡️Accept your best. Celebrate your little wins

➡️Know you are a work in progress, you are not above making mistake.

➡️Be grateful for what you have as you wait for what you are expecting

Stop overthinking and act now.

Top seven(7) reasons why you should never give up👇

1. As long as you are alive, anything is possible. The only valid excuse you have to give up is if you are dead. As long as you are alive (and healthy and free) you have the choice to keep trying until you finally succeed.

2. Be realistic. The chance of mastering something the first time you do it is almost non-existent. Everything takes time to learn and you will make mistakes. Learn from them.

3. Be Strong Like Oak

Believe me, you are stronger than you think. 1,2 or even 3 little failures are not enough to stop you from achieving your goals. Your goals are far greater than all of the doubts. Imagine a little oak tree. Did it stop growing every time it was facing harsh winds? NO. So why should you stop? You are alive, aren’t you? So you have no good reason to give up. Period.

Success will never be a big step in the future, success is a small step taken just now.

4. Prove yourself. You don’t want to be known as someone that is weak and gives up. Go out there and prove yourself to the world and to yourself. You CAN and WILL achieve what you set out to do. The only time you fail is when you give up.

5. Believe in your dreams. Don’t sell yourself short. In life there are going to be many people who will try to bring you down and tell you what you want to achieve is not possible.

6. Your family and friends. Let the people you love and who mean the world to you be your inspiration to persist and persevere. Maybe you need to try a different angle, study more or practice more but don’t give up!

7. There are people worse-off. Right now there are many people who are in a worse situation and environment than you are. Are you thinking about giving up running 5 miles a week? Think about the people who are unable to even walk and how much they would give to be able to run 5 miles every day.
