1. Today, make sure you take a walk.

And in the future, when you get stressed or overwhelmed, take a walk.

Take a walk when you have a tough problem to solve or a decision to make.

When you want to be creative, take a walk.

When you need to get some air, take a walk.

When you have a phone call to make, take a walk.

When you need some exercise, take a long walk.

Take a walk together when you have a meeting or a friend over.

Nourish yourself and your mind and solve your problems along the way.

2. Failure is a part of life we have little choice over.

Learning from failure, on the other hand, is optional.

We have to choose to learn.

3. The next time you face a political dispute or a personal disagreement, ask yourself:

Is there any reason to fight about this? Is arguing going to help solve anything?

Would an educated or wise person really be as quarrelsome as you might initially be inclined to be?

4. How you handle even minor adversity might seem like nothing, but, in fact, it reveals everything.

5. No need to be too hard on yourself.

Hold yourself to a higher standard but not an impossible one.

And forgive yourself if and when you slip up.

7. Do your job today.

Whatever happens, whatever other people’s jobs happen to
be, do yours.

Be good.

9. “In your actions, don’t procrastinate.

In your conversations, don’t confuse. In your thoughts, don’t wander. In your soul, don’t be passive or aggressive.

In your life, don’t be all about business.” —MARCUS AURELIUS

10. Great teachers are usually hardest on their most promising students.

When teachers see potential, they want it to be fully realized.

But great teachers also know that natural ability and quick comprehension can be quite dangerous to the student if left alone.

An early promise can lead to overconfidence and create bad habits.

Those who pick things up quickly are notorious for skipping the basic lessons and ignoring the fundamentals.

Don’t get carried away. Take it slow. Train with humility.

Do you open your heart to both apology and forgiveness?

Admitting when you are wrong and forgiving when others are wrong is vital to the longevity of any relationship.

Most of the relationships break because either people have so much ego that they never apologize or they have so much pride that they don't forgive. So when mistakes are made, the relationship never gets a chance to be restored.

Apologize for your mistake, it makes people feel that you feel and care for others and forgive, forgiveness can help to heal both in a relationship so that they can move on in their relationship.

Top 6 lessons learned from the book- DO IT TODAY

1. STOP LOOKING FOR SHORTCUT, AND DO THE WORK.

Building a business or career is hard. It requires you to do difficult, tedious, and unsatisfying tasks. If you want more clients or work, no one is going to hand it to you. You have to hustle. Do content marketing, one-on-one sales, network, or whatever method you use to grow your business.

And if you want to climb the corporate ladder, you have to form alliances, be strategic, outperform your targets, and be great at what you do.

Thats what you SHOULD do, right? Most of us already know these things. Or, you will find out about it. Theres no such thing as a secret to succeeding at work.

2. ELIMINATE. ELIMINATE. ELIMINATE

Elimination is a key strategy that I use for many aspects of my life. We accumulate so much unnecessary baggage throughout the years that we consistently need to eliminate. If you find yourself struggling to focus, try this strategy. Make your life so simple that its a breeze to live. And lets be honest here. Who wants to live a life thats impossible? Life is already hard enough. Dont make it harder.

3. WILLPOWER DOESNT WORK. SYSTEMS DO.

What you really need is a system for doing work. A lot of people shy away from routines, systems and frameworks because they want to have freedom. Im sorry to disappoint you: Freedom is your enemy. The fact is that, if you want to get things done, you need rules.

If you combine the right productivity tactics, you have a productivity system. The deadlines create urgency, accountability will create responsibility, working in intervals improves your focus, exercising will give you more energy, so does a healthy diet, and eliminating distractions will take away the temptations.

4. DISCONNECT FROM THE INTERNET.

And theres only one reason to do that: Too
much of anything is a bad thing. Even good
things. Too much exercise? You will get
overtrained.

Too much love? You will smother people. Too much work? You will burn out. Too much food? You will get fat. Too much water? You will die.
So why do you consume so much internet?

5. MANAGE YOUR ATTENTION

Focus determines the quality of your life. No
focus means no control of your attention.
And no control means frustration. We all know what frustration leads to. Start managing your attention. Not your time.

6. REST.

You recharge your phone when it runs out of
juice. You refill your gas tank when youre
running on empty. But sometimes, you
forget to do the same for your most
precious possession: Your body (and the
brain thats inside of it).

1. Embrace the hustle: In West Africa, the hustle is a way of life. It's the idea that you must work hard, be resourceful, and stay motivated to achieve your goals. Embracing the hustle means taking ownership of your dreams and being willing to put in the work required to achieve them.

2. Seek knowledge: Education is highly valued in West Africa, and Ngwane stresses the importance of seeking knowledge throughout life. This can come in the form of formal education and through reading, networking, and seeking mentors who can help guide you on your journey.

3. Build relationships: Relationships are key to success in West Africa. Building strong relationships with others can open doors, create opportunities, and help you overcome obstacles. Ngwane advises readers to intentionally build relationships and focus on adding value to others.

4. Stay focused: Distractions and setbacks are inevitable on the path to success. To overcome them, Ngwane recommends staying focused on your goals, maintaining a positive attitude, and being persistent in facing challenges.

Follow Evans Mozurunyem Ministries for Action-provoking posts every morning.

5. Take risks: Entrepreneurship is inherently risky, and Ngwane encourages readers to embrace risk-taking as part of the journey to success. This doesn't mean being reckless but being willing to step outside your comfort zone and take calculated risks.

6. Be adaptable: In a rapidly changing world, adapting is critical. Ngwane advises readers to be open-minded, flexible, and willing to pivot when necessary in order to stay relevant and achieve their goals.

"Hustle like a West African" is a powerful reminder that success is within reach for those willing to work hard, stay focused, and persevere in the face of obstacles. By embracing the values and lessons of West African culture, readers can gain new insights and strategies for achieving their dreams.

DEALING WITH WORRY

“We worry because we have misplaced priorities, which cause us then to have misplaced faith. Look at the two examples Jesus gave: the birds of the air and the lilies of the field. The birds do not sow or reap or store away food, yet they never go hungry. Likewise, the lilies of the field do not spin fabric and make clothing, yet they are dressed in beauty and elegance that not even King Solomon could match.

Why? Because God Himself feeds the birds and dresses the flowers. Notice that Jesus said of the birds, “your heavenly Father feeds them.” He did not say, “their heavenly Father.” Our heavenly Father is the same one who takes care of the birds of the air and the lilies of the field. The word Father (abba in Hebrew) means “source and sustainer.”

“So the phrase could read, “your heavenly Source and Sustainer feeds them.” Jesus’ question to us, then, is, “If your heavenly Source and Sustainer takes care of the birds and the lilies, which are here today and gone tomorrow, don’t you think He will take care of you, too?”

Our problem today is that we have misplaced our faith. We have changed our source. Instead of looking to our heavenly Father, we look either to ourselves or to someone else (parent, spouse, employer, government) to sustain us. After all, since we live in a dog-eat-dog, every-man-for-himself world, we have to fight, scrape and scramble for everything we can get and then hold onto it with a white-knuckled grip. Right?

That is the priority and mind-set of the world, not of the Kingdom of Heaven! Who is your source? If you are looking to anyone other than God the Father and King of Heaven as your source, that may explain why you are struggling and why your life just won’t come together. If, on the other hand, you make God your source, then He calls the shots. And if He calls the shots, He pays the bills!”
